I am happy to be your friend...
My career is in health too and i have myself indulge in herbal treatments some of which i have found very helpful. I don't think there is anything wrong with using herbs or anything of nature to treat yourself, after all Jesus Himself spat on the ground to form mud to cure someone of blindness. And then he asked the blind man to wash himself in a particular pool before he could be cured. Jesus used what was around him to cure him. Jesus could easily have banished the spirit of blindness and brought back his sight just by speaking.
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
By doing this Jesus was telling us that we should not rule out all the natural resources at out disposal however, at the same time, He was telling us that it is only if you have tried everything and nothing works, that is when you rely on God, and once that person is healed there can be know doubt that God healed him. And that is when God's name is glorified. In those days there was no cure for blindness so in a sense God did heal him. God created us and God is in us, it follows that every other thing God created also has God in it.
