Andrew Merchant of BBC Essex caught the essence in his report package.
If you’re interested, you may like to go to the BBC Essex website and use Listen Again to hear the Sunday morning programme from this morning, with Ian Wyatt. At 2hrs, 12mins, 25 seconds you can hear Andrew’s report, which is followed by Ian interviewing me and then me reviewing some newspaper stories and still weaving in a few references to our Passion play

Well it was worth it !!!
On Good Friday approx 800 people gathered in Market Square to watch Jesus enter through the South Woodham arches riding on a Harley!
This was the start of the Easter story being acted out by professional actor Kevin Walsh and a cast made up of people from all over Essex and the local churches.
Market stalls were overthrown outside local shops with homing pigeons being released.

Well its taking shape
Well I’m sitting here updating web pages and facebook trying to finish a to do list , just got back from Market Sq after setting out the cones marking the area no parking , hope the cones are still there when I go back.

- Hello Paul, I love your pictures of Easter, especially the Smarties!!
Whoever you get to play Jesus, let it be a solid macho fella (like a carpenter would be) with a happy face. I saw the Wintershall Passion Play about 5 years ago maybe, and the actor was just that. It was so believable and refreshing. None of this aneamic, unlived, introverted faces which the big films have used to picture Jesus.
The prayers for Guidance in www.prayersword.org.uk may be of some use to you generally. My prayer is that God will bring the actor to you.
