Hi David,
Trust you are well + happy new year, how's weather with you as here it's very frosty and cold.
We're on holiday till monday 12 january so hope to get a day to edinburgh on thursday was at Glasgow yesterday at a funeral + visit hearing dept. at hosptal on wednesday as my hearing aid has snapped.
My temporary job at marks + spencer is now finished so back to job serching again after the 12th, I've got confirmation from m+s that I've passed the assesment and don't have to go though the interview process for any I apply for in the next 6 months but having seen news today that m+s will be clearing over 1000 jobs it doesn't look promising but still keep an eye on the website at m+s but ofcourse in this financial crisis these vacancies may be even less than last year was but we'll wait and see and trust in the Lord who knows all our futures.
My job at remploy was closed last march so have been looking for new job since with no success other than the short spells I had at m+s and with credit crunch biting in the prospects are not great with my age having just turned 55 + disability of a stammer which hinders communication jobs but we'll battle on.
Tell me more about the Bible 4 chapers, what exactly is involved over the ten months, sounds interesting.
We'ce been holidays to yorkshire a few times over the years , the last one was based at middleham in 2001 and before that we've been to Knaresborough, oakworth and scarborough for holidays.
Well have a blessed week.
In His Grip,
Gordon

Hi David,
Hope you had a nice christmas, how's the weather with you, up here it's been quite frosty the past two days having had to scrape the car windows of the ice.
Did you get anything nice from Santa, especially in the spiritual realm?, I got a couple of books them being the new one from AW Tozer on the worship driven life and Stormie Omartian ' The power of praying through the Bible', so looking forward to getting round to them.
I also got the Keswick yearbook with the best of the sermons & lectures from this years convention, we never made it this year except for a day visit at the beginning of the 3rd week to hear Charles Price and see Keith Getty + stuart townend doing an afternoon musical session which was great.
Anything planned targets for 2009?, I hope to go through the BIble using the online Bible from Bible.Christianity.com but not targetting myself a set time but just going from Genesis to Revelation within a few years so to get more from it rather than rushing through it.
Well every blessing for 2009 for your family and yourself and look forward to hearing more about you in the coming year.
In His grip.
Gordon

Hi David,
Welcome to premier community, great to have you aboard + trust you'll make many new friends.
I am impressed by your profile, I also would like Lloyd-Jones, John Stott + the puritans and would be of reformed in belief although like to classmyself as open evangelical.
I also like documentaries although usually DVD like michael palin travel + David Attenborough as I don't have TV.
Well I'll stop before I bore you.
In His Grip,
Gordon
