Hi All...I was just wondering, when the thread / Group was started, were there specifics on anyone's mind re "backbiting"?

I am in no way meaning to start gossip here.. I feel that with an example/s of an incident I could learn more.

Our Pastor will not stand for such thing as backbiting, and saying things to him of another, so it is something we fight against, but our group is small and we value each over, each one is precious and so missed when they dont come its like a part of our body is missing, when we're all in one place we are whole, in fact one wonders why we cant live together, go green to save the planet.

Tough one.
We need to do all we can to live in love and peace with all the brethren.

We have personal responsibility to make sure our heart is right before God and with each other.
When a choice morsal of gossip comes our way we have a decition to make do we join in and dishonour our brother or do we honour them by resisting the work of the enemy and choose life giving words.
When we choose to bring good out of all conversations we will be living a life of holyness and purity...
With Gods help it is possible to keep our attitudes in check so only what is good for building each other up in Christ will be spoken by us.

But lets all be honest here, we have all said wrong things against one another, but when we do we just need to repent and get on with life in Jesus Name!

There were differences and divisions in the early churches as mentioned in the Bible in Acts and we have the same thing in our churches today. We need love and forgiveness in the church. We need to seek God's wisdom and pray for unity of church congretations and unity between different churches.
