Online discussion and chat forum of Premier Christian Radio

Hi everyone - new member here!

Something that strikes me and which I'd welcome some discussion on: with apparently 6-7 million "practising" Christians in the UK, this community has only attracted 3508 members in almost 2 years. I could speculate on the reasons but I want to keep this message short and would prefer to see what others think about this first.

And a related question: does anyone know of a Christian website (preferably UK-based) that does attract significant numbers to its forum?

Thanking you in anticipation
Roddy

I'm finding it a bit frustrating as many people are not very good at staying on topic and most threads get hijacked by the ranters and ravers who blunder on with their blinkered arguments

Ranters?? Ignore 'em, unless it's one you agree with.....Ravers are on the wrong site.... And ....erm...remember that the Devil is a great debater........you'll come to recognise the ones chucking spanners in the works from the wise/humble/supportive/inquisitve/loving ones.
There are posters on here who I just avoid and there are others whose posts I actively seek...even if the topic they are replying to doesn't interest me.
Go onto people's home pages before judging them too harshly...or kindly for that matter. It helps to know if you're talking to an ultra-liberal Charismatic or an old-school Calvinist for instance.

Yes, I'm picking up on this and slowly sifting the wheat from the chaff.

Mmmm....yes. My choice of words sounds a bit conceited - what I meant was....well, you know what I meant!

Wouldn't it be interesting for us all to get together in the real world and discover that our perceptions of each other are totally wrong!

I still haven't quite worked out how to best keep track of things on this forum. Is it possible to expand the "latest activity" section of the Forum page? The "View all" debates is just too long. I'd like to be able to view say all the postings (perhaps by category) over the previous 8 hours - is this possible?
We all do that every day in our normal lives.

I agree that the organisation of topics by latest viewed is not that helpful. I would like to see some sort of division by topic matter, so you can find the discussions that interest you more easily. How to divide discussions topics would be an interesting debate.
Yes we know a good ranter or two, LOL
