Amen to that. I thought long and hard and I love so many but it's always the 23rd that comes back to my mind.

Hi Karen mine has to be psalm 91. have you hear David Aldous read it? It's awesome hearing it.

@ James. Thiis psalm is prophetic as well. If you you read about Peter's behavior in Mathew 26v58

But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest.
He entered and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.

Psalm 139v14....l will praise you because l am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, l know that full well..l love the psalm because when people look down upon me and when l do not have self esteem, the verse reminds me that l am fearfully and wonderfully made

yes Meggy..I love that verse too.

Thank you, Karen, for asking this question. I have asked it of myself and been deafened by a hundred and fifty voices, each calling for attention. I have re-read them all and three stand out:
23 for it is the Psalm of my youth and stands alongside The Lord's Prayer and Genesis 1, three fragments of Faith that never left me during a life-time of sin and willfull resistance to the Lord.
70 which has the urgency of immediate need, a first-aid Psalm, for those times when we cannot bear another moment or withstand another blow.
18 that marches with us as we confront our enemies in our waking and in our sleep.

My favorite psalm is Ps 124 - it is my testimony.

depends on the need - but 16 is one of my faves as is 112.

16 reminds me of how much we're blessed by God. 112 reminds me of what I need to aspire to.
