John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.

Translated....

Lamb of God, you who take away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us.
Lamb of God, you who take away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us.
Lamb of God, you who take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Oh, Palestrina and the Tallis scholars definitely have my vote for leading compline in heaven (-:

Lovely, Bach is wonderful.

Perhaps heaven is a little like Glastonbury, with a tent for the different types of music?

On rare occasions I may choose to join you in the "wave your hands in the air" tent (-:

(Shades of the Levellers' "What a beautiful day" in that one I think).

Don't forget to drop in at the dramatic (and Latin) "day of wrath tent"........

Followed by the peaceful "after the day of wrath tent" tent....

But where's the beer tent????

Great stuff Iggy and Richard! And this coming from a guy who generally doesn't like music, so keep them coming. This reminds me of the time a few years back when a group of friends talked me into going with them to the local symphony orchestra and after practically dragging me there, I didn't want to leave by the time the night was over, lol.
